Do You Check Your Spiritual Health?

To maintain a good spiritual health which is also necessary for a good mental-wellbeing and a healthy mind, there are steps that need to be taken to prevent 'worms and vicious wolves' taking over.

We speak of taking the car to the garage to check the MOT which we hope will help inform the road worthiness of our vehicle.

#How often have we checked our Spiritual MOT?

For a sound mind and a healthy disposition to life, we have to check ourselves by the minute and monitor our spiritual temperature. It comes naturally with time as we learn to devote time to prayers and gain knowledge of the world as not just being a physical realm but spiritual.

The human mind is a fertile soil that the enemy desires above the physical person because an evil seed planted goes from a tiny mustard seed size to a giant tree that then houses all kinds of life, depending on the type of seed planted, where birds of all sizes take refuge. But a bad seed with time will show by the confusion, mindlessness and destructive tendencies the mind suffers. And a good seed will produce fruitful crops that bless many and delight in the Maker.

In Leviticus 24:10-16, an example of what happened when an evil seed planted manifested is recorded. It is the story of a man with an Egyptian father and an Israelite mother. He was taken outside the camp and punished. A warning for us to be careful with our mouth especially when the temptation is to act or speak against our Maker, which alien entities encourage people to do.

#Defilement shows by what it produces

Jesus in His teaching to the people in Matthew 15:11, said that what goes into a person does not defile, but what comes out of a person's mouth. Because, before the mouth speaks, the heart had been filled and out of that overflows whatever the content. If the content has been good seed, good will flow as praise and thanksgiving to God. But if the content had been an evil seed, causing evil thoughts and wicked schemes, then evil will flow followed by evil actions.

The first sign will be the evil profanities for which the person has no control over as the alien beings that had taken residence manifest by their proclamations. By such proclamation they simply declare that they have taken over control and the person is only obliged to speak and do what they speak and do using the persons oratory process and physical abilities.

#What can be done to avoid the wolves?

There's no person that would say that they will like to have their minds taken over by an alien spirit, but many do so unknowingly because of lack of MOT checks for their minds--Ephesians 6:11, is clear that the battle is spiritual against wickedness in high places. Therefore, put on the full armour of God and be led by the Holy Spirit. You receive the Holy Spirit when born again.

When a vehicle is taken in for MOT, it returns after the check with a certificate of road worthiness. The first point of knowing an alien seed has been planted is when we come before our Maker. The Holy Spirit certifies us as clean and if anything had entered, by the power of God neutralizes and takes it out before it becomes comfortable and destroy the mind and body.

Jesus, quoting from His teaching in Matthew 15:13, identified the source as a tree not planted by His Father, but by the Enemy. In verse 17, He pointed out that everything people eat go into the stomach and is passed out, nothing left to defile.

What defiles He said is what takes root in the heart causing evil thoughts, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, lying, slander, murder, hate and all forms of wickedness.

#Keep your heart in check daily

Out of your heart flows the issues of life--Proverbs 4:23. Reflect on what your mind is doing and if not in the right place, ask God for help before it runs you over. Take control by inviting the Maker to help you. Your mind can scam you into deceiving yourself.

How I stay focused is spending time in prayers, lifting every thought to God, waking up and giving the dreams I had to Him. I think through every dream because when we sleep, our souls are awake and it is at night that the wolves come out to play.

Therefore, catch them while early before they grow big and comfortable. Don't let your words betray you by allowing the vicious wolves take over and decide how you use your mouth by what it plants in your heart.

Choose a good mind that loves and honours the life you have by walking in integrity.
