A generation that seeks to know God's purpose for their lives is one that will live a fulfilled life. We have been deceived to believe that life is all about entertaining ourselves, living selfishly and being famous for the wrong reasons. Many that live that way appear to be doing well until the day the mind fails and all collapses on them like a ton of bricks.
#How do we Find God's Purpose for our lives?
The truth about human existence will have to be understood and accepted first of all before we can be open to receive knowledge that gives wisdom. Such knowledge is only possible when life is viewed from God's perspective--Creation. The fact that the Creator had a purpose for all He created.
Without a new life, the reality of finding purpose in life will delude us. For purpose is hidden in wisdom which God gives to all whose sins are forgiven and reconciled to Him by the blood of Jesus.
When we were created, the inventory that made up our entire being, included the manual for operation. Like a machine that comes with tools and functioning parts, we were made by God for God, to serve a given purpose and only in Him are we able to realise that purpose. No person other than God can reveal it.
#Seeking God diligently through Prayer
The greatest deception the world is fed is that life was not created, as such, no purpose or meaning for existence. So people live destroying their souls with no relationship with their Maker only to find that what they thought would give pleasure leads to broken and unfulfilled life with lasting consequences. Where the enemy of our souls seek to trap us down a destructive path full of guilt, regret and even death, God gently whispers into our hearts to draw us away to safety. But we must be willing to listen to His voice and obey by turning from the destructive path and follow the Father that is calling or knocking on the door of our hearts and open up.
In Jeremiah 29:13, God says, "You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart." The experience of coming to faith in God is called Born Again. Being born again is where we find the path God created for us to walk in. The Bible says that the natural person is born into sin, due to the rebellion of Adam and Eve. No one is good, and no matter how hard people try, can never find that path for themselves because all are enticed and taken captive the moment they are born.
We stumble about in darkness hoping to find a purpose, so we try and fit into all that the world offers in the hope of arriving at our purpose in life. Unfortunately, however we try, we will never be satisfied. The emptiness will never be filled. By reading the Bible, we see how God decided the purpose of many He used, some hundreds of years before they were born by entrusting faithful people with the knowledge.
#Christ is our fulfilment
The Word of God in the Garden that was to remedy sin is found in Genesis 3:15, that the Offspring of the woman will bruise the head of the Serpent. Damage caused to Satan on the Cross of Calvary is the only means by which we are free from his power to find purpose in God. By the world's way or through religion, it is impossible, as some religions lead people away from God. All the education in the world will not get us there as purpose was created into us by the Blood of Jesus that was sacrificed from the foundation of the world. He is the Foundation through which everything exists, without Him nothing can be fulfilled.
Once we accept and acknowledge our God given relationship by having the life of Jesus in us through the Holy Spirit of God, He then begins to release His nature into our hearts so that our desire becomes His as we are led by the Spirit.
#Studying the manual
The Bible is God's instruction on how we should do life. Without studying the Bible, we will be left open to voices and doctrines of demons that lure away into destruction. The supernatural life that gives purpose is only lived when we find Jesus for ourselves and through Him, we are able to love God as the Holy Spirt draws us into intimate relationship with God the Father.
The journey will not be easy, as God disciplines every child He receives. But at the end, you won't remember the years of your flesh being stripped away only the love and the power of the new life; the purpose you have found. Proverbs 12:1 says, "To learn, you must love disciple, it is stupid to hate correction." [NLT]
Hebrews 12:11-13, "No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees." [NIV]
Before God releases a person into the purpose, time must be spent in training in the 'wilderness,' led by the Spirit, where a table has been prepared in the presence of our enemies, just as Jesus was led by the Spirit to be tempted in the wilderness by the devil---Matthew 4:1. The enemy will do everything to convince you that you are a 'dead meat.' But it is there that God will gift you with the ability to persevere, overcome and walk in victory with a new character. You must be willing to be disciplined by enduring the pain and the suffering the enemy throws at you without giving up. Because the enemy's plan is for you to fail, just as he hoped would happen to Job in the Bible. But God will equip you to stand by taking on the supernatural nature of your Heavenly Father to fulfil His purpose.
The Born Again life is therefore, a Supernatural lifestyle lived through the Holy Spirit, because our enemies are operating supernaturally but without the level of power we have been gifted as children of God.
